Professional Questions:

Tell us about your real estate career (title, office, years, specialties, designations, etc)

I was an office manager/bookkeeper for many years. My next door neighbor was a realtor and said I should get into the business.  In 2003 I took the Real Estate Class with my son Richard. We both started working for Real Living Kee Realty. I have only the title of REALTOR®, but have worked through the hard times in the market when I starting my real estate career.

You’re very hands-on with your clients in assisting them with their moving process, what is your best piece of advice to anyone new to the industry?

Always tell the truth and be yourself.  Provide suggestions, but let them make up their minds just what they want. I also let them know that Real Living Kee Realty is a full service company and has everything they need during and after their sale/buy experience.

Which professional achievement are you most proud of?

I take pride in helping them stage their home and make suggestions when they are living in the homes.  I do stage empty homes with a few items to brighten the location and make it look a little homey.

What piece(s) of technology do you incorporate into your business practices?

I’ve recently transitioned from Listingbook to Elevate (a lead capture product and contact manager system from Listingbook) to allow my clients to run searches, view content in a drip campaign. It’s a nice way for me to stay in contact with new and past clients.

What is the most rewarding aspect of being REALTOR®?

I love working with people and treat my clients like family and my best friends. I have many clients I feel are my family.

What is the most difficult aspect of being a REALTOR®?

Dealing with the ups and downs of the market. Good times and bad times. Just a few problem clients sometimes put your patients to the test.

Personal & Fun Questions:

Tell us more about you? (Interests, passions, hobbies, family, etc.)

I am a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Love my family and have many close friends that have been adopted into our family.  I also love to cook and feed the army at functions. I enjoy to sew, gardening and crafts, and making things for other people.

Can you share with us some of your community service involvement?

I am an officer of a fraternal organization and love doing charity work in my community. We have always had an open door policy at our home and have had many young people living with us during hard times in their lives. I did jail ministry for 9 years at Macomb County Jail and found it very faith grown for myself and those I ministered.

What is your life Motto?

All that you do, do with all your might. Anything half done, is never done right.

Which personal achievement are you most proud of?

Married to my only sweetheart now for 59 years and my great family. I can see they are following in my shoes in many ways.  I am also proud of the work and positions I have held and done for the Knights of Columbus, Daughters of Isabella and the Catholic Order of Foresters. To work for the good of others pleases me most.

Where is the most interesting place you’ve visited?

Loved my work at Macomb County Jail on Sundays. It is not something everyone does and feels comfortable being there.

If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I’m very content and love where I live. I do enjoy traveling to Florida occasionally to get away, however.

Who or what are you most grateful for?

My family and good health

What are your hopes for 2019?

Friends and family are the most important thing in my life. But also doing things to help others makes me happy and a goal. I love my real estate family and enjoy working in this business.
